Bramble Farm, SL7
Bramble Farm is a 600-acre estate with 400 acres of ancient woodland and 200 acres of open arable land. The farm carries a deep history, once among the first to supply fruit and vegetables to Covent Garden Market in the 18th century.
The woodland is its most striking feature: a varied landscape of beech, oak, elm, and hawthorn, with dense undergrowth, open valleys, and winding tracks. It brings an otherworldly atmosphere, dramatic and moody in shadow, or enchanting and fairytale-like in sunlight. Expanses of bluebells in April add a carpet of colour, while cross-country routes cut through the trees, offering ready-made tracks and pathways for filming.
The arable land contrasts with wide open fields, hay meadows, and stretches of wildflowers, creating breadth and scale alongside the woodland.
Buildings are scattered across the farm, from traditional barns and weathered rural structures to mid-20th-century agricultural sheds. Old industrial props, vehicles, and even a vintage gun bus add further character. A private tarmac road runs between the woods, cinematic in itself and ideal for vehicle sequences.
In addition, the owners also have access to a nearby boathouse, complete with a 1930s slipper launch and a vintage boat, available for both interiors and exteriors.
