Harebell Estate, AL9

Harebell Estate is a 350-acre estate combining period architecture, extraordinary interiors, arable land, parkland and ancient woodland.

The estate’s architecture spans centuries, and its variety spans the playfully dressed manor house, a traditional farmhouse, a ruined chapel, a dovecote, a Victorian piggery, and an old cattle yard. In particular, the manor house’s rich history is embodied in its opulent, eccentric, and decadent interiors, paying homage to Harebells’ celebrated past occupants. The house provides striking backdrops for productions seeking eccentricity and maximalist grandeur. Other features include a derelict swimming pool, bridges, a sunken ice house, pheasant pens, and a boathouse by the water. Around the farmyard, crews will also find a mix of historic barns and outbuildings alongside larger mid-20th-century farm buildings and garages.

The landscape offers a 17th-century walled garden (built with over 600,000 bricks!), open fields, parkland, and 120 acres of woodland, including an ancient stretch with winding tracks, leafy canopies, and atmospheric clearings. Four interlinked lakes create scenic water features, while a long, tarmacked drive loops through the estate, doubling as a wide circular road.

Harebell Estate combines heritage, scale, and variety, making it a versatile choice for film, TV, and stills productions.
