Deer Crossing Farm, SY17
Deer Crossing Farm is set within the ancient Cambrian Mountains, and surrounded by sweeping hills, valleys and far-reaching views. The unspoilt landscape combines ancient oak woodland, grazing fields, orchards and meandering river sections.
At the heart of the estate sits a beautifully restored retreat complex arranged around historic buildings beside the river. The setting includes a 1760 stone mill house with its original grinding cogs, an oak-framed hay barn with expansive glass overlooking the meadow, and a series of charming brick piggeries and stone structures. The surrounding gardens feature gravel courtyards, an apothecary garden, and quiet contemplative spaces framed by mature oak trees.
Across the farm are ancient woodland areas, a three-acre conservation woodland that feels like a hidden garden, and a new hillside forest plantation. Private lanes, wide farm tracks and small bridges connect the different landscapes, while the gently winding river offers safe shallow sections suitable for water shoots.
