Needles Farm, BH24

Needles Farm is a diverse 400-acre working farm set within the New Forest, offering a wide range of natural landscapes from pine forest and ancient woodland to wetlands, heathland and open grazing fields. The setting feels wild and untouched, with roaming animals, dense woodland clearings and minimal modern interference.

A standout feature is the isolated woodland cabin, tucked deep within the trees and surrounded by forest. Recently built but characterful, it combines a clean, modern interior with a rustic, off-grid feel. Inside, it offers a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, wood-burning stove and natural finishes. It works equally well as a filming location or a practical crew base, with a sense of privacy and isolation.

Alongside this, the farm includes handbuilt timber barns, wooden stables, a large hay barn and other timeworn structures, adding further texture and contrast.

With marshland, ponds, woodland tracks and open clearings all within easy reach, the location is highly versatile for both large-scale productions and more contained shoots.

FACILITIES AT THE LOCATION

The woodland cabin is available as a base for smaller crews, with a kitchen, bathroom, heating and indoor space for prep and downtime. Additional parking is available across hardstanding areas, yards and open fields. Basic toilet facilities are available, and further crew space can be arranged using outdoor areas or nearby structures. Catering can be brought in from nearby towns, with local suppliers able to support a range of production sizes.

GETTING TO NEEDLES FARM

By public transport, trains from London Waterloo run to Brockenhurst (1.5h), followed by a short taxi journey to the farm. Alternatively, coach services run to Ringwood with onward travel by taxi. By road, the farm is approximately 2 hours from Central London.
