Fenwick Farm, CB8

Fenwick Farm is a remote 150-acre working farm that includes an old dairy yard and piggery that have remained largely unchanged since production ceased in the late 1980s. Set at the start and end of a dead-end lane, the farm combines arable land, paddocks and traditional farm buildings with derelict structures, isolated yards and period houses, offering productions a diverse rural backdrop with very little modern interference.

The dead end derelict farmyard is still standing with original dairy units, pig pens and agricultural buildings all in a weathered and decaying state, whilst the separate current-day working yard sited further along the lane, retains its traditional feel, combining a mixture of old barns, workshops, warehouse spaces and hardstanding areas.

Alongside the agricultural spaces are several characterful residential buildings. The old rectory is a medieval building, later updated with Georgian features, combining a Georgian frontage with an original medieval rear. A second red brick low cottage, originally a coach house dating from the 1800s, is also available alongside exteriors of the period farmhouse neighbouring the derelict yard. Interiors are available at the rectory, offering traditional kitchens, sitting rooms, bedrooms and hallways with period character throughout.

The wider landscape includes grass paddocks, arable fields, and small woodland spinneys surrounding the farmyards. A half-kilometre farm track leads into the site, enhancing the isolated and private feel of the location. There are also two ponds on the property, including a former moat pond with a wooden jetty and ladder.
