The English Estate, NN7

The English Estate is an outstanding, treasured rural location for filming and photoshoots, extending across thousands of acres of diverse landscape and with a glorious collection of heritage buildings. The centre point is the Grade I listed stately home extending to more than 90 rooms, combining Georgian, Jacobean and later interiors across a series of grand reception rooms, staircases, state bedrooms and formal halls. The mansion is currently unoccupied, and open to filming takeovers, making it a privilege of an undertaking.

Beyond the main house, the estate offers a diverse range of conserved, historic buildings and countryside backdrops. A private hamlet of cottages sits within the parkland, alongside a monumental Palladian stable block arranged around a cobbled courtyard, a 17th-century falconry, an 18th-century dairy cottage complete with original Wedgwood detailing, a historic dovecote, a church and private chapel. Additional buildings include empty farmhouses hidden within woodland, traditional stables, isolated grain stores and rarely discovered structures such as a former deer larder.

The wider estate provides a huge variety of landscapes for productions, from rolling parkland and formal avenues to mature woodland, lakes, arable farmland and quiet country roads. Expansive woodland and forest areas include wide tracks, clearings and hidden shoot lodges, while The English Estate’s lakes and waterways offer further opportunities for filming on or around water.
