Pilgrims Farm, SO51

Pilgrims Farm is a compact but very practical rural location in Hampshire, centred around a traditional U-shaped farmyard dating back to the early 19th century. Originally developed at the end of the Napoleonic Wars, the farm retains much of its historic agricultural character, with a collection of timber and brick barns arranged around a spacious courtyard.

The Grade II-listed barn, built in the early 1800s for grain storage, is one of the standout features of the site and is available for both interiors and exteriors. Timber-clad barns on traditional staddle stones sit alongside a red brick barn, which began life as stables for heavy horses before serving as a milking parlour throughout much of the 20th century. A separate black timber barn sits in the adjoining field and provides an additional exterior backdrop.

Alongside its characterful architecture, the farm is particularly well set up for production, with a dedicated heated crew base, kitchen facilities, and generous hardstanding. Beyond the farmyard are open grass fields, wildflower areas and two shepherd’s huts tucked away in a small wooded area.

The heated barn provides an excellent crew base, with a green room, makeup area, catering kitchen and seven toilets, including an accessible WC. A separate lean-to kitchen offers additional catering space.

The courtyard provides hardstanding parking, while a large flat field adjacent to the barns can accommodate additional vehicles and unit base requirements. Romsey, just three miles away, offers supermarkets, takeaways and other local services. Accommodation options include nearby B&Bs, as well as hotels in Romsey and Stockbridge.
