Evensong Farm is a beautiful Georgian old vicarage set within 16 acres, just five miles south of Bath. The house has Georgian proportions with later Edwardian touches, and its interiors are largely unmodernised, with soft colour palettes, panelled ceilings, antique furniture and a mix of traditional and modern artwork. An open-plan kitchen with a large central island adds a more contemporary element, while the house retains plenty of period character throughout.

Outside, the house opens onto a gravel courtyard surrounded by Cotswold stone outbuildings, including a garage, tack room and storage spaces. Further rustic wooden stables sit at the edge of the paddock, with a 14th-century church beyond the garden wall. The wider grounds include four paddocks, old stone walls, hay fields and a small copse of mature ancient woodland, with huge beech and cedar trees creating plenty of character around the house.

The mature garden has a large striped lawn, established planting and far-reaching views across the surrounding countryside. A swimming pool surrounded by roses sits within the garden, while horses, dogs and cats add to the lived-in country setting. The location is private and flexible, with a variety of interiors, exteriors, agricultural spaces and garden settings available, with an easy commute from Bath and Bristol.

FACILITIES AT THE LOCATION

Parking is available in a large flat field beside the house, with additional parking and wider vehicle access in a field on the other side. A loo and shower are available for crew use, kitchen and reception rooms can also be used as a crew base.

The owners can provide catering for productions. Accommodation is available locally, including pubs in the village, nearby Airbnbs and a Travelodge are around eight minutes away in Beckington.

GETTING TO EVENSONG farm

Evensong Farm is 8 miles away from Bath and 20 miles from Bristol. Bath Spa station is approximately 20 minutes away by car, with buses also running from Bath to Norton St Philip. Trowbridge station is another option, around 15 minutes away by taxi.

London is approximately 2–3 hours by car, depending on traffic.
