Panoramic views, a disused farmyard and natural wild fields are just a trio of impressive, unique aspects found at Panorama Farm. Extending from the Victorian house and courtyard buildings with a specimen tree isolated on top of the hill are vast uninterrupted vistas, boasting incredible sunsets across the Vale of Aylesbury.

Getting to Panorama Farm

There are direct trains from London Marylebone to Aylesbury Vale Parkway (I hour) which is just 5 miles away. Alternatively take a direct train from Marylebone to Thame (40 mins) which is 12 miles from the farm.

By car, Panorama Farm is an hour’s drive from Central London, or 50 minutes from Pinewood Studios.

Facilities at the farm

  • Heating & Energy:
    • All electricity on site is supplied through a renewable energy tariff (Octopus Energy tariff) with 100% carbon-free, REGO backed electricity through Solar Panels and battery storage.
    • 85 KW system of solar panels on the north-facing roofs of the barns, with 2 battery stacks inside the barn to store power for use on site all year round owned by the farm
    • Heating supplied through air source heat pump. This powers the heating for the courtyard development including the cafe, kitchen and studios
    • 3-phase power supply in the barn, and there are also 13amp sockets along the outside of the barn (in the car park). Further sockets are inside the courtyard and on the south side of the courtyard buildings
  • Water Supply:
    • Piped water is available for production use
    • All of the rainwater from the courtyard and barn roofs is harvested to a single location in the adjacent field. In development is a pond/reservoir at this location intended to store water for irrigation, and be a natural/organic swimming pool
  • Public Transportation & Vehicle Use:
    • Large hardstanding area (and overflow into the field is possible depending on time of year). There is space for large lorries to turn around, and other options in the local area for very large unit base requirements, additionally, under cover in the empty barns.
    • EV charging is available on-site in the car park
    • The farm is accessible by public transportation (i.e. Aylesbury Vale Parkway (10 mins by local taxi firms) and direct trains to London Marylebone, 1 hour)
    • On-farm vehicles can be provided for getting around the site with driving assisted by the farm team (i.e. Ford Ranger 4×4 truck if available)
  • Accommodation & Available Spaces:
    • Storage options in all buildings.
    • The farmhouse is available as a crew base and also for overnight accommodation (with 5 bedrooms).
    • There is a new apartment with 2 bedrooms, and the Hedgerow Hut (1 bedroom) as well as 2 bell tents, each with 2 beds and the annex to the farmhouse is subject to availability (large 1 bedroom apartment).
    • There are also facilities for camping. On the courtyard there are five toilets and 2 showers. And alongside the camping meadow there is the Hedgerow Shower and other facilities for camping.
    • Other accommodation (Hotel, B&Bs) is just 3 miles away (i.e.  ****Five Arrows hotel in Waddesdon (about 5 mins), and hotels in and around Aylesbury)
    • 4 Toilets, 2 showers, handwashing facilities, green rooms (the farm house), production office space (i.e. meeting rooms, office, etc), and prop storage in the barn are all available for use
  • Waste, Recycling & Repurposing:
    • Recycling facilities are available on site include mixed recycling, cardboard/paper, and plastic. Depending on the amounts, the farm have 660L bins for both general waste and recycling that are collected once a fortnight
    • Composting facilities include food waste, green waste, and compost toilets
    • Recycling centres and food hubs are accessible for productions to use in the local area (i.e. the Recycling centre at Aston Clinton has a re-use shop (many of the cafe chairs were purchased from there)
    • The Farm makes an effort to re-use materials wherever possible. The outside tables are made from the old stable doors and shutters. The BBQ is made from an oil barrel and recycled farm materials. The Hedgerow Hut is constructed from sustainably sourced materials including recycled pallet wood
  • Catering & Food:
    • Surplus food from productions can be used, redistributed or shared locally as the farm is a part of the Good Food Bucks network and have connections to food hubs
    • On-site food or catering services are available include a café, and a professional catering service
    • Facilities available for a crew’s catering needs include a whole well-equipped kitchen facilities, simple tea-making and washing up facility, undercover dining areas, indoor seating, and outdoor seating
  • Equipment for Hire and Support:
    • Farm items, materials or props can be made available for productions including fencing/gates, tools and equipment, furniture, etc that we have on site in and around our cafe
    • The Farm is open to provide storage area for future productions, reuse on the farm, and up-cycle materials
    • On-site support to crew include driving of farm vehicles, practical production assistance, and rounds-keeping support
    • Access to local town is a good source for recruiting crew members, catering suppliers, equipment or unit/tech vehicle suppliers, and transport services.
  • Biodiversity & Nature:
    • Plants, foliage and other natural materials can be sourced from the farm, through neighbouring farms/landowners, or local contacts
    • These natural materials used by productions can be retained for future use, reused, or composted on the farm as well?
  • Crew Wellbeing
    • The farm is a destination that helps people reconnect with nature. They can arrange yoga and other health sessions in the Pitchshift studio, and nature bathing tours on the farm
    • Opportunities to get involved with nature restoration projects, including tree planting, hedgerow management, grassland and meadow restoration.
  • Sustainable Projects & Initiatives
    • Regarding the natural swimming pool, the farm will bring in solar panels and a small wind turbine to power the Hedgerow Hut.
    • The farm are improving their composting system to convert food waste and coffee into compost for the kitchen garden where they will grow food for the cafe.
    • In the autumn we are launching our Regenerative Skills Hub, teaching nature and food-growing skills to young people from the local community, who will work with us on developing the kitchen garden.
    • More bell tents are expected to be available, and in 2027 they plan to have a Shepherds Hut and a Yurt which will provide further accommodation.
    • The farm have plans to use an Eco-bot composting machine that will rapidly create compost from food waste / coffee grounds from the cafe
    • They currently have 2 compost toilets and have plans to build more
    • They have plans for a sauna, cold plunge pools etc alongside the natural swimming pool. Also more tree-planting, agroforestry and pond creation, providing more areas for wildlife and biodiversity
