Emerald Place, GL16
Emerald Place is a jewel in the Forest of Dean crown. Centred around an elegant 17th century country house and her outbuildings, the shoot location offers a blend of grand period architecture and unexpected quirks, and comes surrounded by formal gardens, mature planting, and pockets of woodland. Emerald Place is a lush, calm, secluded location and it is just one hour from Bristol, Bath and the Bottleyard Studios.
Featuring a series of restored rustic barns arranged around a courtyard, all buildings are available for both interiors and exteriors, giving productions a wide range of looks in one compact area. Away from the main house sits a bungalow and annexe, providing additional interior options with a different look.
The grounds are rich and varied, with sweeping formal gardens, statues, and ornamental touches that make the location feel both elegant and slightly whimsical. It’s even african at some angles, with zebra print interiors and life size safari animal statues dotted around the grounds, including giraffes, zebras and tigers. Two ponds, woodland tracks, small clearings, and a pair of distinctive wagons add to the variety.
Emerald Place provides creatives a unique, playful side to the otherwise manor-like surroundings.
