Follies Estate, HR3

Follies Estate encompasses nearly 3000 acres of mixed farmland and woodland on the English side of the Welsh border. The landscape is varied in nature, including the foothills of the Black Mountains, leading down to flat fields of cereal crops, rolling pasture, parkland, marshland and river valleys winding through. Around 400 acres of woodland range from ancient broadleaf forest to managed conifer plantations, with wide tracks, clearings and far-reaching views across the Beacons and surrounding countryside.

Follies by name, follies by nature, the estate boasts a stand-out five storey folly tower for use, along with an obelisk and abandoned walled garden nearby. The estate also includes historic and modern farmyards, centuries-old listed barns, derelict agricultural buildings and more than 20 period houses dating from the 16th to early 19th centuries.

Although large, all the land and buildings are within a 3 mile circumference of the centre of the Estate.
