Fringes Farm, M28

Situated on the urban fringe of Manchester, Fringes Farm is a unique filming location that combines a traditional farm setting, tasteful updates and  with excellent convenience to the city. Set within 3.5 acres of green belt land, the farm yard is surrounded by fields on all sides, creating a surprisingly rural feel despite being just 20 minutes from Manchester’s city centre.

The farm location offers a wide variety of buildings and spaces, centred around an original 18th-century farmhouse and an extensive collection of farm buildings and outbuildings. These include a separate courtyard, brick-built workshops, a farm kitchen, stables, chicken coops, a converted barn used for events, and five further barns, including an open-sided barn. Numerous lanes, yards, corners and hidden spaces create a range of different looks within a relatively compact site.

Beyond the farmyard, there is a productive kitchen garden, meadows with beehives, a treehouse and areas currently being redeveloped, including a design studio. The combination of working farm elements, converted spaces and rural surroundings makes the farm highly versatile and easy for filming and photography.
