Gable Farm, SY10
Tucked into the foothills of the Berwyn Mountains, Gable Farm is a Welsh working farm with a rich history and sweeping, unspoilt views. The landscape stretches from gentle valleys to open hills, dotted with woodland and riverbanks, making it a standout location for shoots.
At the centre of Gable Farm is a 14th-century longhouse with Tudor brick additions, full of character. Some of the original features include oak staircases, beamed walls, wood panelling, and large stone fireplaces.
Across the estate, you’ll find a mix of Victorian and Edwardian farm buildings, a striking 17th-century stone barn with impressive timber interiors, blue-painted stables, and the atmospheric ruins of two cottages.
Natural features include a river with a small waterfall, a stone bridge, a medieval causeway, and three woodlands (one with a stream and waterfall).

FACILITIES AT THE LOCATION
There’s ample hardstanding across the farmyard areas, suitable for several vehicles and production lorries. Large barns provide undercover space for storage or parking. Smaller crews are welcome to use the main house as a base, including the kitchen and indoor areas for wardrobe or dining.
Catering can be arranged with local caterers within a 10-minute drive, both offering great food at reasonable rates. The nearby town (15 minutes away) has supermarkets, restaurants, and takeaway options. There are several accommodation options within 5 miles, including local pubs with rooms and hotels.
