Hounds Tongue Estate, GU10

Hounds Tongue Estate is a shoot location set within historic parkland, open chalk downland, grassland, heathland and more than 1,000 acres of ancient woodland. With far-reaching views, several lakes and an extensive network of private estate roads, free from visible power lines or public footpaths, the landscape’s natural beauty is at the forefront of the landowner’s vision for creating diverse and rich habitats. Amongst a vast array of plant and bird species found on the estate, the Hounds Tongue is a particular favourite.

Working in harmony with biodiversity is a herd of Sussex beef cattle, pasture-fed, and grazing the land all year long.

The estate features a striking principal house, Victorian farm buildings arranged around a courtyard, traditional cottages, and many other historic details; they include an Edwardian fishing hut on a lakeside jetty, wartime pillboxes, hop gardens and secluded woodland shelters.

Dedicated crew-base buildings make the location particularly production-friendly.
