Rib Farm, SG10
Rib Farm offers 2,500 acres of striking countryside with a variety of backdrops. The estate is mainly arable land, with 250 acres of woodland and 40 acres of vineyards. Two very large epic grass fields, areas of wild and natural landscape, and a rare chalk stream, the River Rib, all add to the diversity.
The estate’s character combines expansive, open fields with ancient woodland, vineyard rows, estate tracks, and even unusual features such as a gravel quarry, a campsite and a set of derelict gunpowder stores. The woodland varies from shelter belts along the arable fields to larger, natural ancient areas, with tracks that shift from hard-surfaced to gravel. The river provides access to both banks and features a ford.
Buildings are mainly modern, including grain stores and a storage yard. The estate also has isolated field barns and a small railway hut.
The mix of working farm activity, wide-open vistas, historic remnants, and unusual details makes Rib Farm versatile and film-friendly, suitable for everything from large-scale exterior shoots to more intimate productions.
