Keepers Farm, DA16

Step into the fields of Keepers Farm and you will not believe you are still in Inner London. Having resisted urban developments for centuries, Keepers Farm occupies 90 acres of real, working farmland with a focus on combining nature conservation with regenerative farming and education.

Protected by woodland and trees, with rolling hills in between, Keepers Farm is extraordinarily peaceful.

The farm balances wide-open fields and far-reaching vistas with smaller, characterful details. There are agricultural barns and storages, old piggeries and livestock sheds, allotments and poly tunnels, workshops, and a victorian farmhouse with well-stocked garden Around every corner, you’ll find props in the form of hay bales, scarecrows, implements and tools, barrows and wellies, vintage tractors and modern gear. Shoot productions have endless options for texture and authenticity.

A unique highlight is the range of farm animals in one single location, all within easy access across the farm:  a small herd of white cattle, a flock of various native breed sheep, a pony, chicken and rare breed pigs and piglets.

If looking for vegetable gardens, Keepers Farm has a wide array, including a large area of allotments, greenhouses and polytunnels, full of seasonal colour and variety. These growing spaces add another layer of life to the farm, alongside two orchards and the productive cottage garden.

Keepers Farm also offers many pockets of wild and natural spaces, encouraging biodiversity across the farm. A wild pond, woodland  clearings and tracks, thick hedgerows, bee hives and wildflower meadows, bring softer, scenic backdrops into the mix. It’s a farm that feels both busy and productive, yet peaceful and green, making it incredibly versatile.

With London on the doorstep, and public transport leading right to the farm gate, Keepers Farm is shoot-ready, accessible and bursting with farm and countryside backdrops that are only minutes from the city, yet feels in the middle of nowhere when through the farm gate.
