Dovetail Farm, GU35
Dovetail Farm is a quaint farmstead on the Surrey and Hampshire border, combining an historic farmhouse, original barns and rambling gardens, with views across the South Downs. Largely untouched for decades, the farm retains its old-time charm with a variety of backdrops within one contained location.
The farmhouse boasts two opposing architectural facades, providing two houses in one for filming. Postbox red doors connect the house with the rest of the farmstead where a collection of old farm buildings provide endless charm, including a substantial timbered barn, an unoccupied two-bedroom cottage, a coach house and a dovecote tower.
Within the grounds sits a walled garden alongside productive vegetable plots and a prize Victorian lean-to greenhouse, whilst an overgrown redundant tennis court has naturally re-wilded with swathes of seasonal wildflowers. Then follows fields and pastures, mature woodland and a steep-sided gully believed to be a former riverbed.
Fringes Farm, M28
Situated on the urban fringe of Manchester, Fringes Farm is a unique filming location that combines a traditional farm setting, tasteful updates and excellent convenience to the city. Set within 3.5 acres of green belt land, the farm yard is surrounded by fields on all sides, creating a surprisingly rural feel despite being just 20 minutes from Manchester’s city centre.
The farm location offers a wide variety of buildings and spaces, centred around an original 18th-century farmhouse and an extensive collection of farm buildings and outbuildings. Numerous lanes, yards, corners and hidden spaces create a range of different looks within a relatively compact site. Beyond the farmyard, there is a productive kitchen garden, meadows with beehives, and a treehouse.
Wakewater Lodge, GL7
Wakewater Lodge is a private lake location with a striking Swiss-style log house set directly on the water’s edge. Accessed via a long private track, the large lake is seven acres in total, with the lake house, woodland and a further collection of waterside buildings arranged around the shoreline.
The English Estate, NN7
The English Estate is an outstanding, treasured rural location for filming and photoshoots, extending across thousands of acres of diverse landscape and with a glorious collection of heritage buildings. The centre point is the Grade I listed stately home extending to more than 90 rooms, combining Georgian, Jacobean and later interiors. The mansion is currently unoccupied and open to filming takeovers, making it a privilege of an undertaking.
Beyond the main house, the estate offers a diverse range of conserved, historic buildings and countryside backdrops. A private hamlet of cottages sits within the parkland, alongside a Palladian stable block arranged around a cobbled courtyard, a 17th-century falconry, an 18th-century dairy cottage, a historic dovecote, a church and a private chapel.
The wider estate provides a huge variety of landscapes, from rolling parkland and formal avenues to woodland, lakes, arable farmland and quiet country roads.
Linden Estate, WR6
Linden Estate is centred around an elegant 1813 Regency Gothic house, extending onto smart courtyard buildings, formal gardens, parkland and woodland.
The house offers distinctive arched windows and elegant period interiors for full takeovers. Its formal gardens are diverse and well-tended, complete with sweeping driveways and pathways, large walled areas, topiary and greenhouses
The estate also boasts an extraordinary 80-acre lime forest, believed to be the largest lime plantation in the UK. The woodland comes with wide tracks, creating long sightlines beneath towering mature lime trees.
Shoot at Linden Estate, and you will also have access to cobbled courtyards, stone barns, isolated outbuildings, derelict structures, bridges, watercourses, and long private driveways.
Fenwick Farm, CB8
Fenwick Farm is a remote 150-acre working farm that includes an old dairy yard and piggery that have remained largely unchanged since production ceased in the late 1980s. Set at the start and end of a dead-end lane, the farm combines arable land, paddocks and traditional farm buildings with derelict structures, isolated yards and period houses, offering productions a diverse rural backdrop with very little modern interference.
Alongside the agricultural spaces are several characterful residential buildings. The old rectory is a medieval building, later updated with Georgian features, combining a Georgian frontage with an original medieval rear. A second red brick low cottage is also available alongside exteriors of the period farmhouse neighbouring the derelict yard. Interiors are available at the rectory, offering traditional kitchens, sitting rooms, bedrooms and hallways with period character throughout.
Gingerbread Farm, SN14
Straight out of a fairy tale, Gingerbread Farm is a secluded rural location centred around a rare 19th-century cottage. It’s a distinctive Strawberry Gothic-style hunting lodge with decorative valance boards, gargoyles, wide overhanging eaves and a coat of arms above the entrance. The exterior is clad in soft grey tufa, giving the property a unique appearance. Interiors throughout retain a traditional cottage feel with so much storybook charm.
Close to the lodge is a separate annex with a balcony and wood-clad rotunda, as well as additional pavilion-style structures, woodland sheds and workshops positioned away from the main cottage location.
Surrounded by ancient woodland, rolling valleys and wildflower meadows, the exquisite architectural character of the main buildings is positioned perfectly in a secluded spot surrounded by natural, unscathed features, including bluebell woods, ponds, streams, and isolated woodland buildings.
Sundown Estate, PE28
At the core of Sundown Estate is an 18th/19th-century country house set within 8.5 acres of established gardens.
Beyond the formal gardens, the estate expands into extensive managed parkland, ancient woodland, wildflower meadows and a large network of hedgerows and water systems.
The working farm is a large-scale arable operation including fields of crops, a mix of modern agricultural infrastructure and historic farm buildings.
The festival and event site is a fully developed production-ready environment with permanent infrastructure designed for large gatherings and creative use. This includes a permanent driftwood performance structure, contemplation towers set within woodland, and sculptural installations across the site.
Across the wider estate are a variety of additional buildings and locations, including a traditional thatched pub and older agricultural structures.
Jefferys Hall, ME9
Jefferys Hall is a 750-acre estate offering a mix of landscaped gardens, parkland, woodland and historic estate buildings. The estate centres around a Victorian country house with formal gardens, rolling valleys and varied countryside backdrops, making it well-suited to period drama, editorial shoots and large-scale productions.
The standout feature is the extensive landscaped garden, which includes yew hedges, a large rock garden with ponds and a woodland garden. Formal lawns, sculptures and mature planting create a refined country estate setting, while surrounding parkland and woodland provide a more natural backdrop.
The estate also includes a range of additional buildings and structures, including a red brick and flint folly with interiors, a contemporary steel viewing tower, a tearoom, and a separate rundown farmyard area with derelict agricultural character.
Peacock Hall, PE11

The estate has been carefully maintained in a classic country house style, making it particularly well suited to period drama, editorial shoots and full production takeovers.
