TRADITIONAL and historic
Hampshire certainly has some hidden gems when looking for a ‘step back in time’ traditional farms and estates.
Old farmyards complete with beautifully aged barns and farm buildings make excellent period settings, especially with their rustic textures, materials and lack of modernisation. Discover old farm buildings at Tithe Farm near Basingstoke, including a large Tithe barn, granary, stables, workshop and tin barns.
Rosewood Grange, on the other hand, offers a remarkable Grade II* listed estate that beautifully blends Tudor charm with Georgian elegance. The house features stunning period details like a vaulted cellar with historic wine bins, a Tudor panelled dining room with a grand Elizabethan fireplace, and a dramatic double-height Georgian staircase. Perfect for those needing grand interiors and characterful details.
Need more space? Two of our Hampshire locations, Oldminster Estate and Ciderpress Estate, come with historic villages. Complete with terraced houses, historic buildings and thatched cottages, creating cohesive and characterful settings that feel purpose-built for filming.

Nature at Scale
Our Hampshire estates offer exceptional scale, giving productions the freedom to work efficiently and easily within a single location. With commercial orchards and arable land set within 2,000 acres at Ciderpress Estate, and expansive countryside at Oldminster Estate (3,000 acres), crews can access multiple natural backdrops under one ownership without relocating.
Woodland, open fields, long tracks and wide views allow for flexibility, unit moves, set-ups and resets, while the sheer size of the estates supports privacy, logistics, parking and uninterrupted shooting. It’s countryside designed for filming, epic landscapes that work on screen.
BY THE WATER'S EDGE
The county offers beautiful waterside settings for both filming and photoshoots.
Chalk River Farm near Andover, stretches across 1,200 acres of rolling chalk downland spanning fields of crops, grassland, water meadows, woodland and wild flower strips.
There’s an interesting variety of backdrops on offer at the farm but just one of the many highlights has to be the farm’s two miles of clear chalk streams along the River Anton, which is commonly used for dry fly fishing and has a collection of fishing huts nestled on the riverbank, including a delightful thatched hut, all available to hire.
