Austin Farm, DA4
Austin Farm’s centrepiece is a handsome traditional, split-level Kent barn set in a pretty farmstead and tucked away at the end of a country lane. The barn itself offers over 400 m2 of space with impressive craftsmanship and timberwork, and imposing full height side doors. Built in the 1760s when it was used for storing agricultural crops and harvest, now this splendid space, with original oak beams, is available for film sets or as a versatile crew space.
Adjacent to the barn is a renovated 16th century farmhouse (available for exterior and interior shoots). The white farmhouse features original beams, timbers, fireplaces and a modern kitchen with large island and beautiful blue Aga. There’s a country boot room, two living spaces, and a large country garden with pond, pretty blooms, layered planting throughout the seasons, benches and tucked away seating areas
Surrounding the yard is a rolling landscape with varied arable backdrops, such as wheat, oats and barley, plus a wide selection of florals and grasses which stretch through the seasons. Purple Lavender rows, tall ox eye daisies, romantic wildflowers, tall structural grasses and bordering woodland.
