At Farm Locations, we stand proud and firm alongside the farmers and their families who face growing pressures and an uncertain future.
We represent farms built on blood, sweat, and toil — and while we help them find new ways to secure their farm’s future through also being a shoot location, harvest is the season to pause and celebrate. To thank the people who keep this country fed and rooted. And to recognise the incredible range of settings that this time of year offers for film, TV and photography.
THE MANY FACES OF HARVEST
During harvest, the landscape transforms dramatically. It’s not just golden fields of ripe crops:
- Standing cereals swaying in the wind, gradually being cut
- A wide range of crops, including barley, oats, oilseed rape, flax, linseed, rye, and quinoa — each with its own height, shape, and colour tone
- Farmers expertly handling powerful machinery to bring the harvest in safely
- Stubble fields dotted with neatly placed straw bales
- A variety of straw forms — large and small, round and rectangular
- Stacks of grain and heaps of straw stored in barns
