Released on Netflix in December (2025), Man vs Baby is a light-hearted family comedy written by Rowan Atkinson and William Davies and directed by David Kerr. We’re so pleased to have arranged the house where Trevor’s cottage was filmed.
A follow up to the chaotic Man vs Bee (2022), Rowan Atkinson reprises his role as Trevor Bingley where this time he has taken a quieter job as a school caretaker. But when nobody collects the Baby Jesus from the school nativity, Trevor finds himself with an unexpected companion over the holidays…
Where was Man vs Baby filmed?
Man vs Baby was filmed in and around London, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Essex.
There’s some misinformation circling that the location of Trevor’s cottage (in episode 1) is in Aldbury, Hertfordshire. Although the Aldbury Village Store and Greyhound Inn pub were used for filming, the location of Trevor’s cottage is actually Blossom Farm, approximately 20 miles away, a location exclusive to Farm Locations.
Location Manager, Pete Wimblett, contacted us in early October 2024 on the hunt for a quintessential Hertfordshire village for the down-on-his-luck main character. A classic village cottage, somewhat isolated / on the edge of a village. Pete’s email to us started with “I’m not sure if this will 100% be in your wheelhouse but as you guys know all about the countryside I thought I should definitely see what you might have….” and what we have is a handful of houses in a very traditional setting at Blossom Farm.
Although the redbrick farmhouse at Blossom Farm didn’t instantly match the brief on front view, we knew that it would from the back angle in the fields (see photo above and below, taken from Episode 1 of the show on Netflix below). The production removed some of the stables and barns away in post edit but otherwise it was left as is, with the back door becoming the front door for this particular cottage look.
The interiors were also filmed inside the farmhouse at Blossom Farm, with the Art Department utilising a whole variety of furniture and props already there. Owner Vicky says she won’t look at her kettle the same way now that she knows it’s been inside Rowan Atkinson’s coat!
